EXHIBITION DESIGN
LOBBY INSTRUMENT
INTERVENTION AT THE RISD MUSEUM CHACE CENTER
"Lobby Instruments" was a temporary intervention at the RISD Museum that sought to enhance the visitor experience in the N. Main Street lobby. Works were fabricated out of discarded materials and defunct objects from the RISD Museum's workshop and storage.
Our team designed, fabricated, and installed an interactive table that encourages visitors to interact with ephemera as a way of sparking meaningful engagement as soon as they step foot in the lobby.

A ferris-wheel-style display of gallery maps, postcards, sticker sheets, and activity pages is a playful invitation to handle physical prints, and the adjacent standing-height table offers a space to read, write on, or discuss the maps with a friend or guide to plan a museum adventure.
